B I O

Emily is a Mixed Media artist working from The Paper Moon Studio just outside of Salt Lake City Utah. Many of her concepts are based on her response to memory, dreams and the small worlds people create for themselves. She is inspired by her Utah surroundings, stories, songs and the stars. The imaginative and moody work is done using acrylic and mixed media (handmade/painted papers and vintage constellation maps) on wood surfaces. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Weber State University, she was able to study Renaissance and Contemporary art abroad in Italy. She has been showing work for 8 years since finishing school in various galleries. Among other places, her work has been well received in Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and Park City.
